Pheasants at Flagstaff Viewpoint, Newry

We can hear the pheasants at Flagstaff Viewpoint, Newry quite frequently, but never seem to get great opportunities to photograph them. However, we had gone up one particular morning to photograph the sunrise and once the sun had come up we decided to have our breakfast on the seats over looking Carlingford Lough.

Well didn't the pheasant not see us as we were sitting down and he was perched on the wall thinking there was no one else around. Thankfully I had my camera beside me so I grabbed it and took the shot. The light was just glorious and it illuminated his colourful plumage so well.
